Daria Zappa, violin 
Daria Zappa, violin, studied in Lugano, Salzburg and at the Musikhochschule, Freiburg. She was a prizewinner in various national and international competitions including the Swiss Young Musicians Competition and the Mendelssohn Competition in Berlin. As a chamber musician, she has participated in international festivals in Europe, North and South America including, the Schwetzinger Festival, Open Chamber Music Festival in Cornwall, Utah Music Festival, Aspen Music Festival and San Miguel Chamber Music Festival in Mexico.
Daria Zappa was concertmaster of the SWR Baden-Baden and Freiburg Symphony Orchestra and 2001 - 04 she was joint leader of the Amar Quartet, winning 2nd Prize at the Geneva International String Quartet Competition and performing in many prestigious venues and festivals. Since January 2005, she is a member of the renowned casalQuartett.
